A PROUD moment for Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh and the country is approaching and the ‘wait of 500 years for seating Lord Ram in a grand temple would end in January next year,’ Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in Ayodhya on Saturday.
‘For Ayodhya, the state and the country, a proud moment is approaching when in January, the Prime Minister of the country will end the wait of 500 years, and a grand ceremony will be done to seat Lord Ram in his grand temple. The country and the world will see a new and grand Ayodhya. Preparations have begun from our end. The first rehearsal will be on the Deepotsav, which has been organised by the state government in Ayodhya for the past six years,’ Adityanath told mediapersons.
The CM took stock of development work underway in Ayodhya at meetings with senior officials from different departments of the government. He said the ‘double engine government has sanctioned projects worth Rs 30,000 crore for Ayodhya’. ‘Work on most of the projects has started and is moving towards completion. Our attempt is that most projects should be completed before the Deepotsav,’ he said.
Adityanath said the work is progressing ‘under the inspiration and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to establish this as the most beautiful city with development works, while maintaining the spiritual and cultural identity of Ayodhya.’
‘For this, various departments should be trained in a time-bound manner while maintaining the standard and quality of the work. Clear instructions were already given to expand this programme. It was reviewed today. I’m happy that all the departments have taken their work forward on a war footing,’ he said.
Adityanath also visited the Hanumangarhi temple in Ayodhya and offered prayers. He visited the Ramlala temple and the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex. The CM enquired about the well-being of the workers and reviewed the progress of the Janmabhoomi construction works. Trust officials and others were present during the visit.
