Aditi Rao Hydari recently gave fans a glimpse into the moment Siddharth had proposed to her. The actress shared her favourite moments from 2024 on Instagram and included a photo from the time Siddharth proposed to her.
The couple got married last year in a secret ceremony which exuded warmth and charm.
In the proposal photo, Siddharth could be seen on his knee as an excited Aditi bent towards him. The couple could not contain their happiness and their love is palpable in the photo. The proposal looked simple as Siddharth wore a T-shirt and jeans and Aditi wore jeans with a kurti.
Aditi and Siddarth met in 2021 on the sets of the Telugu film, Maha Samudram. In a conversation with Vogue India last year, Aditi shared the adorable wedding proposal Siddharth had planned for her. “I was closest to my nani, who passed away a few years ago. She started a school in Hyderabad. One day, Siddarth asked me if he could see it, knowing full well how close I had been to her.” They visited the school in March and he asked Aditi to show him a special location close to her heart: a floor above the nursery section.
Aditi mentioned that Siddharth would often prank her by getting down on his knee and then pretending to tie his shoelaces. Thus, when he got down on one knee to propose to her, she did not believe it at first. “He got down on his knee and I asked him, ‘Now what have you lost? Whose shoelaces are open?’ He kept saying, ‘Addu, listen to me’. And then he proposed. He said he wanted to bring me to my favourite childhood place, one with my grandmother’s blessings,” the actress added.
Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth tied the knot on September 16 in a secret wedding at a 400-year-old temple in Wanaparthy. Reportedly, it was an intimate ceremony with only family members and close friends present. They later had a second ceremony in Rajasthan with their film industry friends in attendance.
