TV actor Ram Kapoor recently reminisced about working with Prachi Desai on the hit show Kasamh Se. In an interview, he fondly called Desai a ‘bacchi,’ noting their age gap during the shoot. He also revealed that he had to act as her legal guardian to enter the country.
Kapoor shared an anecdote from their shoot in Dubai, recalling how he had to take on a protective role towards Desai due to her young age. He expressed that working with her was a delightful experience and praised her talent and dedication.
Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Ram Kapoor said, “I was the main lead, I was the hero and I had a 17-year-old opposite me. What is the problem? The story was such! She was 17 when she started working. When we went to Dubai for shooting, I had to sign a form and become her legal guardian to enter the country.”
He added, “But the story was such, and I trusted Ekta (Kapoor, the maker of the show). I trusted her casting. At that time, she (Prachi) was totally new, but look at how fantastic she was in Kasamh Se.”
During the same interview, Ram Kapoor also shared that he is still in touch with Prachi and said, “Bilkul bacchi hai meri (She is like my child).”
Kasamh Se, which aired from 2006 to 2009, was a turning point for Prachi Desai, marking her transition from television to films. Ram Kapoor, already an established actor, continued to gain popularity through various roles in television and films. Their on-screen chemistry was well-received by the audience.
