Ashok Leyland Reports 5% Growth in Vehicle Sales for May 2025

Leading commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland has recorded a 5% year-on-year increase in total vehicle sales, reaching 15,484 units in May 2025, compared to 14,682 units in the same month last year.

Segment-Wise Performance

  • Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicles (M&HCV): Sales surged 11% to 10,282 units, driven by a 12% rise in truck sales (7,606 units) and a 9% increase in bus sales (2,676 units).
  • Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV): Sales declined 4% to 5,202 units, compared to 5,439 units in May 2024.

Domestic & Export Market Trends

  • Domestic Sales: Grew 5% to 14,534 units, up from 13,852 units last year.
  • Cumulative Sales (April–May FY26): Stood at 28,905 units, showing negligible change from 28,953 units in the same period of FY25.
