Congress Leader Sonia Gandhi Hospitalised in Delhi for Stomach-Related Ailment, Condition Stable

Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi on the evening of June 15, 2025, following a stomach-related health issue. According to hospital authorities, she is currently stable and under close observation in the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology.

Dr. Ajay Swaroop, Chairman of the hospital, confirmed:

“Smt. Sonia Gandhi was admitted at 9:00 PM yesterday under the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology for a stomach-related issue. She is currently stable, and doctors are closely monitoring her condition.”

Recent Medical History

This marks Sonia Gandhi’s second hospitalisation this month. On June 7, she underwent tests at Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla, after experiencing high blood pressure. She also had a routine check-up at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on June 9.
