Popular Telugu news anchor Swetcha Votarkar was found dead at her residence in Chikkadpally, Hyderabad, on Friday evening in what police suspect to be a case of suicide. The 35-year-old journalist, known for her sharp reporting and social commentary, was discovered unconscious by her daughter, who returned home from school and found the bedroom door locked from inside.

According to reports, Swetcha’s daughter alerted neighbors after repeated knocks on the door went unanswered. The door was forcibly opened, and Swetcha was found unresponsive. Paramedics pronounced her dead on arrival, and the body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem examination.
