‘A walk down memory lane’: Google celebrates company’s 25th anniversary with doodle

Today marks Google’s 25th anniversary and the company celebrated its milestone with a doodle. The Alphabet Inc-owned company took a walk down memory lane to celebrate the feat.

It all started when in the late 1990s when two doctoral students at Stanford University, Sergey Brin and Larry Page, crossed paths. Despite their initial disagreements, they discovered a shared vision: to make the vast expanse of the World Wide Web more accessible to everyone. This shared dream led them to work tirelessly from their dorm rooms, developing a prototype for a more efficient search engine.

As their project evolved, they moved their operations to a rented garage, marking the birth of Google’s first office. On September 27, 1998, Google Inc was officially launched, marking a significant milestone in the world of technology.

Over the years, much has changed, including their logo, as depicted in today’s doodle. However, their mission has remained steadfast and that is to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.

Today, billions of people worldwide rely on Google for various needs – searching for information, connecting with others, working, playing, and so much more.
