Assam has successfully met its full paddy procurement target for the 2024-25 season, marking a record-breaking achievement in the state’s agricultural sector. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that over 5.85 lakh metric tonnes (MT) of paddy have been procured, surpassing previous records.

- Procurement will continue until June 30, potentially exceeding the target.
- 169 active Paddy Procurement Centres (PPCs) facilitated the process.
- Minimum Support Price (MSP) for paddy set at ₹2,300 per quintal, reflecting a steady increase over the years.
