Bankers Institute of Rural Development (BIRD) Opens Applications for Cooperative Development Officer Posts: Apply by July 12

The Bankers Institute of Rural Development (BIRD), a premier training and research institute promoted by NABARD, has announced five contractual vacancies for Cooperative Development Officers (CDOs) at its Lucknow campus under the Centre for Professional Excellence in Cooperatives (C-PEC).

The recruitment drive offers attractive monthly stipends of ₹65,000 for Level 1 and ₹85,000 for Level 2 officers, with a two-year contract extendable by one year based on performance.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

CDO Level 1:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Commerce, Management, Agriculture, or Computer Applications
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in cooperative institutions
  • Maximum age: 50 years (as of Jan 1, 2025)

CDO Level 2:

  • Postgraduate degree in Economics, Rural Development, Banking, or Management (MPhil/PhD preferred)
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in rural/agricultural finance or cooperatives
  • Maximum age: 62 years

Candidates will undergo:

  • A written ability test
  • A PowerPoint presentation
  • A personal interview
