Adding to the growing chorus of disapproval, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson and Bigg Boss 18 contestant Tajinder Bagga voiced his strong disapproval of Khan’s remarks. Bagga took to social media to slam the filmmaker for targeting Indian culture and festivals. On February 21, Bagga posted a video on Instagram, calling Khan the “biggest chhapri.”

In his video, Bagga stated, “The statement given by Farah Khan that Holi is the festival of Chhapris, I feel that targeting Indian culture and festivals has become the most important work of these Chhapris. I feel that Farah ji, you’re the biggest Chhapri. We have been celebrating Holi for many years and many centuries, and people of India celebrate Holi and Diwali well, but some Chhapris like you come and try to defame it.”

Bagga demanded an apology from Khan, saying, “That’s why you should apologize to the Indian people. You should apologize for saying that Holi is a festival of Chhapris.”

*Legal Action*

Meanwhile, a complaint has been filed by social media personality Vikash Fhatak, popularly known as Hindustani Bhau, for allegedly hurting Hindu sentiments. As reported by IANS, Fhatak expressed disappointment with Khan’s recent comment and demanded legal action against her. The complaint, filed at Khar Police Station in Mumbai, urges authorities to take strict action against Khan under sections 196, 299, 302, and 353 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

*Public Reaction*

Khan’s remarks have sparked widespread criticism on social media, with many users demanding an apology from the filmmaker. The controversy has ignited debates about respecting Indian traditions and the impact of public figures’ comments on social harmony.

As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how Farah Khan will respond to the backlash and the legal complaint filed against her. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of careful speech and respect for diverse cultural and religious beliefs.
