Caught on CCTV: Thieves steal gold worth lakhs from Madhya Pradesh shop

Two thieves stole gold worth lakhs of rupees from a jewellery shop located in Nalkheda village, Madhya Pradesh’s Agar Malwa district.

The act was caught on CCTV cameras installed at the shop, though the thieves have not been caught yet.

The two culprits entered the shop disguised as potential silver jewellery buyers. In a clever ruse, they engaged the shopkeeper in conversation to divert his attention, and with a sleight of hand technique, stole a jewellery box at the store.

The stolen gold jewellery box is estimated to be valued at more than Rs 4 lakh.

Without the shopkeeper noticing, the thieves fled the scene. The entire theft was recorded by the CCTV cameras installed at the shop.

The Nalkheda police were alerted about the robbery. A case has been registered against the two men seen in the CCTV footage. An investigation is underway.
