Al Nassr secured a crucial 2-0 victory against Al-Wehda, with Cristiano Ronaldo once again leading his team to success. Following the win, the 40-year-old star praised his teammates and urged them to build on their success. Al Nassr remains eight points behind league leaders Al Ittihad, who have a game in hand, and four points behind second-place Al Hilal. Ronaldo is currently the top scorer in the Saudi Pro League (SPL) with 17 goals, one ahead of Al Ittihad’s Karim Benzema.
### Ronaldo’s Message to the Team
Ronaldo emphasized the importance of maintaining their winning momentum. “The comeback should be like that. This is Al Nassr; we have to react. We have to continue to win and let’s see what’s going to happen,” he said. He highlighted the team’s focus on both the SPL and the AFC Champions League Elite, where they face Esteghlal Tehran in the last 16 on Monday.
“Game-by-game, we have to build again the confidence. We have to do it again; we have to win, win, win and let’s see what’s going to happen,” Ronaldo added.
### Social Media and Apology
Ronaldo also took to his Instagram handle after the win, posting pictures with the caption: “Keep Going!”. Despite the victory, Ronaldo issued an apology after Al Nassr’s match against Al-Wehda was delayed due to traffic. The team bus arrived nine minutes past the scheduled kick-off time, leading to a one-hour delay. Despite the setback, Ronaldo helped secure the 2-0 victory, scoring a goal and setting up a penalty, which teammate Sadio Mané converted.
As Al Nassr continues to chase the top spots in the SPL and aims for success in the AFC Champions League Elite, Ronaldo’s leadership and determination will be crucial in guiding the team forward.
