Haryana Approves ₹718 Cr Projects in HPPC Meet; Focus on Power, Water, and Health

In a major push for infrastructure and public service delivery, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has approved projects and procurements worth ₹718 crore during a joint meeting of the High Powered Purchase Committee (HPPC) and High Powered Works Purchase Committee (HPWPC). The approvals span critical sectors including power, water treatment, animal health, and medical infrastructure, with an emphasis on cost-efficiency and timely execution.

⚡ Power Sector Gets ₹132 Cr Boost

The largest allocation—₹132 crore—was sanctioned for the manufacture and supply of transmission line towers, substation structures, and HT underground cables by Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL) and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) for FY 2024–25.

Additionally, ₹53.86 crore was approved under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) to strengthen power distribution and reduce AT&C losses in Ambala’s Naraingarh division.

💉 ₹73.45 Cr for Animal Health Vaccines

The Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department received approval to procure 220 lakh doses of FMD+HS dual vaccine, aimed at preventing foot-and-mouth disease and hemorrhagic septicemia in cattle. The initiative supports Haryana’s disease-free status and livestock health.

💧 Water Treatment Projects in Gurugram and Berhampur

  • ₹33.88 crore was allocated to upgrade the 120 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at Berhampur
  • ₹51.34 crore was approved for upgrading the 100 MLD STP and establishing a 75 MLD tertiary treatment plant in Gurugram
  • CM Saini emphasized the reuse of treated water for industrial purposes to reduce groundwater extraction

🏥 Medical Equipment and Urban Infrastructure

  • ₹26.95 crore was sanctioned for non-medical equipment at Shri Sheetla Mata Devi Medical College, Gurugram
  • ₹14.90 crore was approved for relocating recycled water pipelines along the Dwarka Expressway

💬 CM Saini: “Citizen-First Delivery Is Our Goal”

CM Saini, along with Cabinet Ministers Mahipal Dhanda, Vipul Goyal, Shyam Singh Rana, Ranbir Gangwa, and Shruti Choudhry, chaired the six-hour session. He directed departments to ensure transparency, efficiency, and timely completion of all approved projects.

“This is a crucial investment in urban resilience, public health, and energy infrastructure,” he stated.
