Ibrahim Ali Khan Says Amrita Singh Both ‘Praises’ and ‘Humbles’ Him: ‘She’s a Sweet, Urban Punjabi Mother’

Emerging actor Ibrahim Ali Khan is opening up about the strong influence his mother, veteran actress Amrita Singh, has had on his life and career. In a recent interview, the young star revealed how Singh plays a dual role in his life — offering both encouragement and constructive criticism in equal measure.

Speaking candidly, Ibrahim described his mother as “a sweet, urban Punjabi mother” who keeps him grounded while also being his biggest cheerleader.

“She praises me when I deserve it and humbles me when I need it,” Ibrahim shared. “There’s a very real balance in how she supports me. She’s not one to let fame get to my head, but she’s also the first to tell me when I’ve done a good job.”

Ibrahim, son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, is gradually carving his own path in Bollywood. While he has largely stayed away from the limelight compared to his sister Sara Ali Khan, he’s been making headlines with his upcoming projects and charismatic public appearances.

Describing their dynamic, Ibrahim said Amrita Singh brings a mix of “old-school values and modern-day relatability” into parenting. “She’s got that classic Punjabi warmth, but she’s also incredibly sharp and aware. She’s made sure I understand the privilege I come from and the hard work it takes to earn respect,” he added.

The actor also acknowledged that growing up in a film family has its advantages, but emphasized that it doesn’t guarantee success. “My parents have taught me that what matters is discipline, kindness, and effort. Nothing else sustains a career in this industry,” he said.

As anticipation builds for his formal Bollywood debut, Ibrahim continues to work behind the scenes, reportedly assisting on film sets and undergoing intensive acting training. While details of his launch project remain under wraps, fans are eager to see if he follows in the illustrious footsteps of his parents.

For now, it seems he has a solid foundation — and a strong maternal figure — guiding him every step of the way.
