Suryakumar Yadav Flaunts Dance Moves, Morne Morkel Flooded With ‘Work’; Watch Team India’s Grand Welcome in Delhi

After a dominant performance in the first T20I against Bangladesh, the Indian team will begin their preparations for the second T20I which will be played on 9 October at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

The Men in Blue took the short flight from Gwalior to Delhi but it was an eventful trip nonetheless. Indian bowling coach Morne Morkel seemed to be flooded with ‘lots of work’ as he was seen noting down some details in his diary during the flight. The South African legend was seen hiding the details albeit jokingly when caught on camera. The likes of Gautam Gambhir, Riyan Parag, and Sanju Samson were all smiles as the Suryakumar Yadav-led unit received a grand welcome in Delhi. The Indian captain was welcomed with ‘India ki Shaan’ chants and SKY couldn’t help but shake a leg on the beats of the drums being played outside the team hotel. BCCI shared a video of the short trip from Gwalior to Delhi on their social media handles.

Having dominated Bangladesh in the Test series which the hosts won 2-0, they will be looking for a similar result in the T20I leg as well. India can wrap up the series with a victory in Delhi, to follow up on a commanding performance in the first match of the series. Having invited Bangladesh to bat first, the Men in Blue restricted the visitors to a below-par score of 127 runs on a pitch that was a batsman’s paradise. Arshdeep Singh and comeback man Varun Chakravarthy picked up three wickets each as Bangladesh stumbled to 127 riding on Mehidy Hasan Miraz’s unbeaten 35 and captain Najmul Hossain Shanto’s 27-run knock. In reply, Hardik Pandya guided the hosts to a 7-wicket victory through his 39-run blazing fast unbeaten knock while Suryakumar scored 29 runs. Arshdeep Singh scooped home the Man of the Match award for his scintillating display with the ball.
