Stocks of IndusInd Bank Ltd., Oil and Natural Gas Corp., Pfizer Ltd., Inox Wind Ltd. and Poonawalla Fincorp Ltd. were in focus on Saturday, after the companies announced their third quarter results.
IndusInd Bank shares opened in the green despite reporting a 39% decline in net profit of Rs 1,401 crore, after a sharp decline in provisions and bad loans. Net interest income also fell to Rs 5,228 crore from Rs 5,296 crore a year ago.
ONGC, on the other hand, fell over 3% after registering a 31% decline in net profit at Rs 8,240 crore, missing the street’s expectation.
Pfizer shares fell over 1% after the company reported a bottom line of Rs 127.6 crore. The company recorded a revenue of Rs 538 crore for the October-December period, down marginally by 0.4% from Rs 540 crore in the third quarter of the previous fiscal.
In contrast, Inox Wind’s profit rose 100 times in the third quarter to Rs 116.65 crore, beating Bloomberg estimate of Rs 102 crore. However, the shares rose nearly 12% on Saturday.
Inox Green Energy Services Ltd. shares opened in the green after it posted over two-fold increase in net profit at Rs 4.1 crore.
Shares of LIC Housing Finance Ltd. fell after its net profit rose 23.1% in the quarter ended December. Write-back was at Rs 43.98 against the impairment expense of Rs 435.83 crore.
While Aster DM Healthcare Ltd. shares fell after they posted a dip in profit in the December quarter, Bandhan Bank Ltd. was trading in the green.
IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd. profit surged in the third quarter to Rs 6,026.11 crore on the back of exceptional gains of Rs 5,804 crore due to reassessment of value assets. The shares were in the green on the back of solid third quarter earnings.
Shares of Karnataka Bank were trading in the red on Saturday. Sheela Foam Ltd., Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd., Electrosteel Castings Ltd., Vadilal Industries Ltd. were also down after reporting their results.
Nuvama Wealth Management Ltd., Relaxo Footwears Ltd., Dhani Services Ltd., Triveni Turbine Ltd., City Union Bank Ltd., Vishal Mega Mart Ltd., Five-Star Business Finance Ltd., LG Balakrishnan & Bros. Ltd. and Shree Cements Ltd. were trading in the green after announcing their third quarter results. Godrej Agrovet Ltd., Medplus Health Ltd., Mayur Uniquoters Ltd. and Unicommerce Esoluitions Ltd. were also trading higher in the morning.
