Ultra-thin design and new display
As the name suggests, the iPhone 17 Air will carry a slim form factor and can reportedly measure just 5.5mm at its thinnest point. This will make it Apple’s slimmest iPhone to date, even surpassing the iPhone 6. The device can pack a 6.6-inch display and will sit between the Pro and Pro Max models.
With the iPhone 17 Air, Apple will introduce Always-On Display and ProMotion technology to non-Pro iPhones. While some reports suggest a 90Hz refresh rate, other rumours hint that the device might get the full 120Hz ProMotion experience.

On the performance front, the iPhone 17 Air is expected to run on Apple’s upcoming A19 chip. While the Pro models will receive an A19 Pro, the base A19 chip is still expected to deliver impressive speed and efficiency. Additionally, Apple’s in-house 5G modem is expected to debut with this device.
