Reliance Jio has launched Jio AirFiber in 8 metro cities of the country on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. Jio Air Fiber is an integrated end-to-end solution that provides services like home entertainment, smart home services, and high-speed broadband.
Initially, the company has made Jio Air Fiber service live in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Pune.
The company has introduced two plans – AirFiber and AirFiber Max in the market. In the Jio AirFiber plan, the customer will get two types of speed plans. These are 30 Mbps and 100 Mbps. The company has kept the price of the initial 30 Mbps plan at Rs 599. Whereas, the price of the 100 Mbps plan has been kept at Rs 899. In both plans, the customer will get more than 550 digital channels and 14 entertainment apps.
Under the Jio AirFiber plan, the company has also introduced a plan of Rs 1199 with 100 Mbps speed where along with the channels and apps found above, premium apps like Netflix, Amazon, and Jio Cinema will also be available.
Customers who want higher internet speed can choose one of the ‘Air Fiber Max’ plans. The company has launched three plans in the market ranging from 300 Mbps to 1000 Mbps, while 300 Mbps speed is available for Rs 1499. Customers can enjoy 500 Mbps speed for Rs 2499. If the customer wants to take a plan with 1 Gbps speed, then he will have to spend Rs 3999. Over 550 digital channels, 14 entertainment apps and premium apps like Netflix, Amazon and Jio Cinema will also be available with all the plans.

Difference between Jio Fiber and Jio AirFiber:
JioFiber is a wired service, which is delivered to homes through optical fiber. While, JioFiber offers speeds up to 1 Gbps, while Jio AirFiber will have speeds up to 1.5 Gbps. Reliance Jio announced that it has completed 5G network work in each of the 22 licensed service areas in Asia. The company has completed the launch ahead of schedule in all spectrum bands for the spectrum acquired last year.
Jio AirFiber is a fixed wireless access device, which will use the company’s 5G network. With this, users will get superfast data at the speed of 1Gbps. At the same time, this device will also support Wi-Fi 6.
