Wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis joined an elite list of Australian batters on Thursday, January 30, by scoring a century on his Test debut for the Baggy Greens.
In his maiden Test match for the 2023 World Test Championship winners, 29-year-old Inglis came out to bat at No. 5 for the Steve Smith-led side and scored 102 runs from 94 balls with the help of 10 fours and one six. He added 146 runs for the fourth wicket with Usman Khawaja, who amassed a total of 232 runs from 352 balls.
Inglis is the 21st Australian batter to score a century on Test debut and the first one since Adam Voges in 2015.
