Kajol celebrates nephew Aaman Devgn’s first film, ‘Azaad’ with heartfelt cheers

Aaman Devgn, nephew of Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn, and Rasha Thadani, daughter of actress Raveena Tandon, are all set to make their much-anticipated debut with the upcoming period drama Azaad. The makers of the film recently released its trailer, offering a sneak peek into the action-packed narrative. Following the trailer’s release, Aaman received a heartwarming shoutout from his aunt, actor Kajol. She shared the trailer link on her Instagram Story, expressing her pride with the message, “If wishes were horses, I would wish for this one! So proud of you @aamandevgan! And so many more congratulations to come!”

The trailer of Azaad opens with an intense and thrilling scene, introducing Ajay Devgn as a rebel fighter and skilled horseman deeply bonded with his loyal horse. A pivotal moment in the story reveals the horse going missing during a battle with the British forces, leading Aaman’s character to take up the mission of finding it. The trailer also highlights the mentor-mentee relationship between Ajay and Aaman’s characters, with the younger Devgn looking up to his uncle’s strength and leadership.

On the other hand, Rasha Thadani takes on the role of a character from a royal family. A few days ago, the film’s makers unveiled a new song titled ‘Uyi Amma’, where Rasha showcases her dance skills. The track, composed by Amit Trivedi with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya, features the soulful vocals of Madhubanti Bagchi.

In an earlier interaction with ANI, Ajay Devgn praised his nephew’s dedication to the film. He shared, “I have a significant role in his film as well. The trailer has been released, and people are liking it. Fingers crossed. He is a very hardworking boy.”

Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, Azaad is set in pre-independence India and is slated to hit theatres on January 17, 2025. Fans are eagerly awaiting the debut of these two promising young stars.
