Xiaomi’s next mainline flagship series, potentially named the Xiaomi 14, is expected to launch later this year with updated internals.
According to reports, the series may include three models: the Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro, and Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
And now, 91mobiles and OnLeaks have recently shared what appear to be alleged renders of the Xiaomi 14 Pro. These renders reveal a major design overhaul, with the smartphones expected to feature a redesigned camera module.
As per the renders provided by 91mobiles and OnLeaks, the Xiaomi 14 Pro will sport a flat display, departing from the curved panel of the outgoing Xiaomi 13 Pro. The smartphone is also expected to be thicker. But the most noticeable change is the camera module, which appears considerably larger and more substantial compared to the current models, possibly indicating the presence of larger sensors.
The publication further notes the phone’s dimensions: 161.6 x 75.3 x 8.7mm, and it may feature a 6.6-inch flat display with 2.5D curved glass and a hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera. Another significant change could be the presence of four cameras and other sensors.
Notably, among all the changes, the increased size of the camera module appears to be the most substantial. While there is no confirmation from Xiaomi, and this information should be taken with a grain of salt, it’s evident that Xiaomi is placing a strong focus on its optics and hardware, potentially making this another step in that direction.
