The Shiv Sena (UBT) will once again indulge in show of power with their Dussehra rallies in Mumbai on Tuesday.
Since the Shiv Sena split in June last year, the Thackeray faction and the Shinde group have been engaged in a power tussle to show themselves as the true inheritor of founder Bal Thackeray’s legacy. Amid the Sena rallies, immersion of Goddess Durga and ICC cricket World Cup match, more than 15,000 police personnel have been deployed to maintain decorum in the city. Meanwhile, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will hold its annual Vijayadashami Utsav in Nagpur city, where singer-composer Shankar Mahadevan will be present as the chief guest.
