No more Delhi Capitals home matches at Vizag, DC to play all home matches at Arun Jaitley Stadium

Unlike last year in IPL 2024, Delhi Capitals won’t be playing any home matches in Vizag this season. Come the IPL 2025, the Delhi outfits will play all their 7 home match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Back last season, DC had two of their home matches at Visakhapatnam because the pitch was not prepared in time.

However, this time that won’t be the case. This time in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025, no matches would be held in Delhi. This time the tournament will be hosted across 4 cities – Bengaluru, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Vadodara.

Last time, i.e. WPL 2024 kickstarted in a caravan model, with the first batch of games taking place in Bengaluru. Following this the tournament shifted to Delhi where the remainder of the games including the knockout match and the final were held in Delhi at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

The Arun Jaitley Stadium pitch curator didn’t get sufficient time to prepare the pitch during the initial phase as the IPL 2024 started shortly after the conclusion of WPL.

But this time, since no WPL matches will be held in Delhi, thus all the IPL pitches are scheduled to be prepared in time. And this in turn means that no Delhi Capitals home matches would be shifted to Vizag.
