OnePlus Open is all set to go on its first sale in India.
The company’s first foldable phone, debuted in India and worldwide markets on Thursday, ie, October 19. It boasts Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, sporting a 7.82-inch AMOLED inner display alongside a 6.31-inch outer screen, both offering a swift 120Hz refresh rate. The phone features three Hasselblad-branded rear cameras, including Sony’s cutting-edge LYTIA-T808 “Pixel Stacked” CMOS sensor. Complementing this are two selfie cameras and a robust 4,800mAh battery, supporting rapid 67W charging.

In India, the OnePlus Open comes at a price of Rs. 1,39,999 for the 16GB + 512GB configuration. It’s offered in Emerald Dusk and Voyager Black colors, available through OnePlus’s official website, Amazon, and retail stores. Pre-orders commence today, with open sales beginning on October 27. Customers can enjoy an Rs. 8,000 trade-in bonus on select devices and an additional Rs. 5,000 discount with ICICI Bank and OneCard Instant Bank.

OnePlus introduced its first foldable phone, promoting it as remarkably lightweight and compact. This device stands at 153.4 mm in height, unfolding to a width of 143.1 mm, which then shrinks to 73.3 mm when folded. When it comes to thickness, there’s a slight variation depending on the color choice. Unfolded, the Emerald Dusk variant measures 5.8 mm thick, while the Voyager Black variant is 5.9 mm thick. When folded, the Emerald Dusk version becomes 11.7 mm thick, and the Voyager Black is slightly thicker at 11.9 mm.
In terms of weight, the Voyager Black weighs approximately 239 g, while the Emerald Dusk comes in at about 245 g. The Flexion Hinge technology plays a pivotal role in making the phone lightweight, compact, and durable.
The device showcases a remarkable 7.82-inch Flexi-fluid AMOLED main display with a peak brightness of up to 2800 nits. The cover display, measuring 6.31 inches, boasts a 2K resolution and 431 ppi. Both screens offer a swift 120Hz refresh rate for a smooth user experience.
For photography enthusiasts, the OnePlus Open houses a primary 48-megapixel camera equipped with Sony’s LYT-T808 “Pixel Stacked” CMOS sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS). It is complemented by a 64-megapixel telephoto camera and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The camera can record videos in 4K quality at 60 FPS. The front camera setup consists of a 20-megapixel primary camera and a 32-megapixel secondary camera.
Running on the all-new OxygenOS 13.2 based on Android 13, the OnePlus Open is driven by the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It’s designed to receive four years of major Android version updates and five years of security updates, ensuring longevity in software support.
In the battery department, the phone packs a 4,805 mAh battery and supports rapid 67W fast charging. OnePlus claims that the battery can charge from 1% to 100% in approximately 42 minutes and provides over a day’s worth of usage on a single charge. Notably, a charger is included in the retail package, making it a comprehensive offering for users.
