Rahul Gandhi, along with other senior members of the Congress party are in Rajasthan’s Jaipur, where they will lay the foundation stone for the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) office on Saturday.
For the event, party president Mallikarjun Kharge is also scheduled to reach the city later today.
Others in presence would be Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, state Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra, party’s Rajasthan incharge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, and more.
Following the foundation ceremony, Rahul Gandhi and Kharge will also address a public rally in the Mansarovar area of Jaipur.
The assembly elections in Rajasthan are due later this year and the party is expected to release its first list of candidates during Kharge’s visit to Jaipur.
On Thursday, Ashok Gehlot laid the foundation or inaugurated various development projects worth Rs 1,410 crore in Jaipur and said his government was working dedicatedly for the holistic development of the state.
Gehlot laid the foundation stone of Phase 1-C of the Metro project for Jaipur city. The project’s estimated cost is Rs 980 crore. He also inaugurated the Lakshmi Mandir Tiraha underpass and Ramnivas Bagh underground parking.
The chief minister said the state government is working dedicatedly for the development of the entire state.
