Fabulous Wives vs Bollywood Wives star Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, who is also Ranbir Kapoor’s sister, shared heartwarming photos from her meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Riddhima joined Ranbir, Neetu Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, and other Kapoor family members to meet and discuss the upcoming Raj Kapoor Film Festival. Taking to her Instagram account, Riddhima revealed she recieved special blessings from the Prime Minister.
In one of the photos, Riddhima was seen giving PM Modi a special gift and sought his blessings. She also posed for a picture with him. Her husband, businessman Bharat Sahni also joined her at the meeting and posed with the PM. Sharing the photos, Riddhima wrote, “They say manifest and it happens. When honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji took the oath for the first time in 2014, I had really wished to meet him purely owing to his dynamism and charisma.”
“10 years later I had the privilege and the sheer honour of meeting him and as a representative of my family to celebrate my grandfather Shri Raj Kapoor ji who has left behind his legacy and impeccable body of work. As the world gears up to celebrate my grandfather’s 100th birth anniversary, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the almighty, our Prime Minister for making time and sharing his love for my grandfather and each one of you for loving each one of us! #100yearsOfRajKapoor,” she added.
The Kapoor family is honouring Raj Kapoor’s legacy by hosting a film festival which will play 10 of his biggest films. The festival will feature Raj Kapoor’s most celebrated works, spanning almost four decades including including – Aag (1948), Barsaat (1949), Awaara (1951), Shree 420 (1955), Jagte Raho (1956), Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai (1960), Sangam (1964), Mera Naam Joker (1970), Bobby (1973) and Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985).
