Samsung’s Walk-a-thon India Challenge Offers Free Galaxy Watch Ultra—But There’s a Catch!

Samsung has launched the second edition of its “Walk-a-thon India” fitness challenge, offering participants a chance to win a Galaxy Watch Ultra for free—but only if they meet the challenge requirements.

How to Participate

The challenge, conducted via the Samsung Health app, began on April 21, 2025, and will run until May 20, 2025. To qualify, users must complete a total of 200,000 steps within this one-month period. At the end of the event, three winners will be selected through a lucky draw and rewarded with a Galaxy Watch Ultra.

The Catch

While three lucky winners will receive the smartwatch for free, all other participants who achieve the step goal will be eligible for a 25% discount on the Galaxy Watch Ultra. However, simply completing the step count isn’t enough—participants must revisit the Samsung Health app between May 26 and June 15 to officially claim their reward. Those who fail to do so will miss out on both the prize and the discount.

Samsung’s Strategy

This initiative follows the success of the first Walk-a-thon India campaign, which saw participation from over 100,000 users in February. By linking the giveaway to a fitness challenge, Samsung aims to promote its health-focused technology while generating buzz around its premium wearable lineup.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra, priced at Rs 51,999, features a 47mm titanium build, a 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display, 10ATM water resistance, and a 590mAh battery that promises up to 100 hours of use in power-saving mode. It also includes AI-driven heart rate zones, a Quick Button for workouts, Night Mode, and an emergency siren.
