Shark Tank India’s Kunal Bahl Takes Dig At Aman Gupta: ‘I’ve Done Far More Deals Than You’

Shark Tank India, the beloved business reality series, is gearing up for its much-awaited fourth season. A newly released promo hints at heightened drama, both between the entrepreneurs pitching their ideas and among the ‘sharks’ themselves.

The teaser opens with Kunal Bahl, CEO of Snapdeal and the latest addition to the panel, locking horns with a company called The Naturik Co. In a bold move, Bahl agrees to invest Rs 4 crore, much to the surprise of Aman Gupta, co-founder of boAt Lifestyle. Anupam Mittal, CEO of People Group and Shaadi.com, quickly matches the offer, showcasing the competitive atmosphere. “This season, the sharks are hungrier than ever,” the promo teases.

The tension escalates as Lenskart CEO Peyush Bansal and Namita Thapar, Emcure Pharmaceuticals’ executive director, step in with their offers for different pitches. Meanwhile, Bahl and Mittal emerge as strong competitors, aiming to outshine each other. Bahl critiques the concept of royalty in deals, branding it as a tool to exploit entrepreneurs.

The spotlight soon shifts to the sharks themselves. Bahl’s confident approach sparks a heated exchange with Aman Gupta. “You can’t go into this individually,” Gupta advises. Bahl, unfazed, responds, “I know how to make deals.” Gupta quips, “It’s your first time on Shark Tank, right?” leading to Bahl’s sharp retort, “But I’ve done many deals, far more than you.”

The promo’s closing moments underline the high stakes of the show. Anupam Mittal, in a dramatic manner, tells a contestant that encouragement isn’t enough to build a business, waving a cheque in their direction and asking, “Shall I tear it away then?”

With rivalries heating up and high-profile investments on the line, Season 4 of Shark Tank India promises an electrifying mix of ambition, drama, and innovation.
