Tripura CM Manik Saha Allocates Rs 3 Crore for Tribal Music Workshops

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has announced a significant allocation of Rs 3 crore for musical instrument workshops aimed at preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of the state’s indigenous communities. The initiative, unveiled during the Bipul Kanti Saha State Art & Craft Festival at the Government Art and Craft College in Lichubagan, underscores the government’s commitment to honoring the artistic contributions of tribal communities.

The workshops will focus on training tribal artists in traditional music, ensuring that their skills and cultural practices are passed down to future generations. CM Saha emphasized the importance of cultural preservation, stating, “The resources for survival are hidden in the culture and tradition of any nation. By nurturing our own talent, we can elevate the excellence of Tripura’s heritage.”
