Tripura’s royal scion, MDC and founder of TIPRA Motha Party (TMP) Pradyot Kishore Debbarman issued a stern warning to the advisors of the interim government in Bangladesh, who have been making anti-India statements. Debbarman emphasized the importance of protecting minorities in Bangladesh and stated that if necessary, India would go beyond its limits to support them morally and financially.
In a social media post on Wednesday, Debbarman criticized the provocative statements made by the advisors of the current Bangladesh government. “They are digging their own graves with these anti-India remarks,” he wrote. Debbarman drew parallels to India’s actions in 1971, when it intervened to break Pakistan into two, despite American support for Pakistan at the time. “India has shown its strength before, and it can do so again,” he asserted.
Debbarman pointed out that Bangladesh is currently weaker than Pakistan was in 1971, while India has grown significantly stronger. “A country that cannot respect its founder, Sheikh Mujib, is on the wrong path,” he remarked.
Reiterating his warning, Debbarman stressed the importance of protecting minorities in Bangladesh. “If necessary, we will cross our limits to empower them morally and financially in their own country,” he declared.
The statement has sparked discussions on the diplomatic relations between India and Bangladesh, highlighting the need for respectful dialogue and cooperation between the two nations.
