Virat Kohli Visits Spiritual Guru Premanand Govind Sharan Maharaj In Vrindavan Ahead Of ICC Champions Trophy

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma visited Vrindavan Dham to take the blessings of spiritual guru Shri Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj. Kohli often visits ashrams of spiritual gurus to take their blessings. He has also visited Baba Neem Karoli’s ashram in Vrindavan multiple times. The visit comes ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy. Notably, Kohli has been under fire for his low returns in recent times. The India great had a poor series against Australia that saw India lose the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for the first time in 10 years.

Kohli got the series off to a great start and scored a century in Perth, however, what followed was a string of low scores. Kohli was constantly troubled by deliveries outside off, a known weakness of him. Kohli inability to find a way out of the flaw invited heavy criticism for the India star as questions were raised on his place in the team. There were reports that the selectors will sit with Kohli after the Border-Gavaskar Trophy to discuss his future in Tests.

Virat Kohli To Play County Cricket

Despite his poor form, Virat Kohli is keen to play Test cricket for India. According to reports, Kohli could play a few County games before the Test tour to England. The County matches could clash with the IPL so it will be interesting to see how Kohli goes about it.

Virat Kohli Key To India’s Success In ICC Champions Trophy

Kohli has not been in great form in Test cricket, however, he is still a force to reckon with in ODIs. Kohli was India’s best performer in the ODI World Cup and played a key role in leading the team to a win in the ICC Champions Trophy, scoring a gritty fifty in the final. The veteran will carry most of India’s hopes in the showpiece event.
