The Meta-owned popular instant messaging application WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature to respond to support queries with messages generated by AI (artificial intelligence).
“Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.23.8 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp has plans to enhance the quality of its service by implementing AI-generated messages to better support users in the future,” WABetaInfo reported.
According to the report, the Meta-owned app may assist users by sending messages generated by AI using a secure service from Meta. Although this feature is in development, it already promises to improve support by offering more relevant and helpful responses to support queries in the future.
The report suggested that this feature is expected to improve user interactions, minimise response times, and ensure a more efficient support experience by benefiting both WhatsApp users and customer service.
‘AI-generated messages may be a helpful addition to WhatsApp’s customer support, as it will potentially provide more personalized and effective solutions for user inquiries. We think this would also provide users with instant responses to their questions, even outside of their regular business hours,” WABetaInfo said.
The feature to respond to support queries with messages generated by AI is under development and it will be available in a future update of the app, the report noted.
In related news, the instant messaging app is also working on a new feature which will allow channel owners to add new admins. WhatsApp Channels is one-way broadcast tool that provides a private way to receive updates from individuals and organisations within the app.
New admins can assist in posting additional content by making the channel more active and efficient, ensuring that content is always regularly updated. This advantage becomes especially significant as the channel grows in size or activity.
