Mizoram Final Voter List Updated After Special Intensive Revision

Mizoram Electoral Roll Updates

The voter registry in Mizoram experienced a major transformation following a comprehensive Special Intensive Revision exercise. A senior administrative official confirmed that the administrative process concluded with substantial modifications to the regional voter database, reflecting shifting demographics and population updates across the state.

Changes to the Voter Population

During the intensive verification and revision campaign, authorities carefully scrutinized existing registry entries. This rigorous process led to the permanent removal of 78,442 names from the official database. Officials noted that these deletions typically account for duplicate entries, deceased individuals, or relocated residents who no longer reside within their previously registered constituencies.

At the same time, the administration successfully registered 39,243 new electors who met all necessary legal criteria for inclusion. These newly added citizens received their formal enrollment following the completion of application procedures during the targeted revision period. Despite the substantial number of removals exceeding the additions, the overall adjustments resulted in a final registered voter count of approximately 8.35 lakh across Mizoram.

Milestones in the Electoral Process

The publication of this updated registry marks a critical administrative milestone for the region. Alongside the notable adjustments in voter volume, the final roll release also captured a unique milestone for Mizoram, reflecting ongoing developments in the region’s democratic framework and administrative record-keeping standards. Electoral authorities continue to prioritize accuracy and transparency to ensure that every eligible citizen maintains proper representation within the local governance structure.
