Milky Mist Q2 Profit Soars 175 Percent on Strong Value-Added Dairy Demand

Milky Mist Dairy Food has captured market attention following an impressive financial performance for the second quarter of fiscal year 2027. The company announced a substantial surge in profitability, highlighting robust consumer appetite for its offerings and effective cost management strategies.

Financial Performance Highlights

During the quarter ending September, the dairy enterprise recorded a remarkable year-on-year increase in its net profit. The profit after tax skyrocketed by 175 percent, reaching a total of Rs 75 crore compared to figures from the same period in the preceding year. This significant bottom-line expansion underscores the brand’s ability to scale operations while protecting profitability.

Alongside the surge in net profit, the company demonstrated strong top-line growth. Total revenue for the quarter advanced by 42 percent, touching Rs 1,089.4 crore. Leadership attributed this revenue growth primarily to higher sales volumes across key markets and an elevated consumer preference for value-added dairy offerings.

Operational Efficiency and Margins

The financial results also reflected enhanced operational capabilities within the organization. The company reported an improvement in its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization margin. The EBITDA margin strengthened to 15.17 percent, up from 13.95 percent recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Company executives noted that these margin gains were largely achieved through improved operational efficiencies across processing and distribution channels. Additionally, a more favorable product mix, leaning heavily toward high-margin value-added items, played a pivotal role in bolstering overall profitability.

Outlook for the Festive Season

Looking ahead, the dairy producer remains optimistic about market conditions as the festive season approaches. Management expressed confidence that upcoming celebrations and seasonal traditions could generate favorable consumer demand, potentially sustaining the positive momentum established during the first half of the fiscal year.

Market observers are closely monitoring the stock as these strong quarterly earnings and optimistic forecasts position the company favorably within the competitive dairy sector.
