Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, along with his wife Gauri Khan and their three children—Suhana Khan, Aryan Khan, and Abram Khan—are temporarily relocating from their iconic residence, Mannat. The family is moving to a luxury apartment in the upscale Pali Hills area of Mumbai while their sea-facing bungalow undergoes extensive renovation and expansion.
Reason for the Move
The decision to move comes as Shah Rukh Khan plans to renovate and expand Mannat, a Grade III heritage structure located in the Bandstand area of Bandra. Gauri Khan, an accomplished interior designer, sought permission from the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) last November to add two additional floors to the Mannat annex. The renovation project is expected to take approximately two years to complete.
Temporary Residence
During the renovation period, the Khan family will reside in a luxury apartment in Pali Hills. Shah Rukh Khan has leased four floors of the apartment for a monthly rent of ₹24 lakh. The apartment, built by film producer Vashu Bhagnani, is co-owned by his children, actor Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh. Each floor contains a spacious flat, providing ample space for the family’s security and staff.
Mannat: A Symbol of Success
Shah Rukh Khan purchased Mannat in 2001 for ₹13 crore. Today, the 27,000 square-foot mansion is valued at ₹200 crore. The six-floor residence features a grand library, a private theatre, a fully-equipped gym, and a lavish terrace with luxurious interiors. Mannat has become a landmark for fans and tourists visiting Mumbai, who often gather outside its gates hoping to catch a glimpse of the superstar.
Upcoming Projects
On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan is set to star in the action-thriller film “King,” directed by Siddharth Anand, who also helmed “Pathaan” and “War”. The film, scheduled for a mid-2026 theatrical release, also stars Abhishek Bachchan and marks the big screen debut of SRK’s daughter, Suhana Khan.
As the Khan family temporarily moves to their new residence, fans eagerly await the completion of Mannat’s renovation and the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming projects.
