Administrative Changes In Assam
The government of Assam has officially announced a notable administrative reshuffle, designating a new leader for the Nagaon district administration. This update follows a series of recent changes within the state bureaucracy, aimed at ensuring smooth governance and continued development across various regional sectors.
New Leadership For Nagaon District
IAS officer Aranyak Saikia, belonging to the 2020 batch, has been appointed as the fresh District Commissioner of Nagaon. He steps into this crucial administrative role to oversee the district operations and guide the local governance framework moving forward.
Transition Of Responsibilities
The newly appointed official takes over the administrative responsibilities from the outgoing bureaucrat, Debashish Sharma. The transition occurs after Sharma opted for voluntary retirement from his official government service.
Previous Tenure In Karbi Anglong
Before taking on this new assignment in Nagaon, Aranyak Saikia served as the District Commissioner of Karbi Anglong. He concluded a tenure lasting approximately eight months in that region before transitioning to his current administrative post in Nagaon.
