The situation escalated dramatically from a modest borrowing arrangement into a multi-lakh financial demand, culminating in a police rescue operation.
Background of the Financial Dispute
The ordeal began involving a loan arrangement where the victim had previously borrowed a sum of 1.5 lakh rupees. What typically would remain a civil financial matter turned dark as the lenders allegedly inflated their financial demands drastically. By the time the harassment reached its peak, the individuals involved were demanding an exorbitant sum of 11 lakh rupees, far exceeding the original borrowing amount.
Four Days of Captivity and Assault
Instead of resolving the financial dispute through legal or standard mediation channels, the perpetrators subjected the victim to extreme abuse. Over the course of four harrowing days, the woman was held against her will.
