Assam Celebrates Rabindranath Tagore’s Birth Anniversary in Dhubri

The 164th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, India’s first Nobel laureate, was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Dhubri, Assam. The event, organized by the Bharat Vikas Parishad and the Rabindra Janma Jayanti Utsav Committee, featured cultural performances, poetry recitations, and musical tributes honoring Tagore’s literary and artistic legacy.

The celebrations began with a floral tribute to Tagore’s portrait, led by Prasenjit Roy, Akhil Bandhu Dutta, and Sanjeev Kundu. The event showcased soulful renditions of Rabindra Sangeet, performed by Shakuntala Roy, Shukla Chakraborty, Papri Ghosh, Debdatta Guha, Anuja Saha, and Asim Bhattacharya. Dance performances by Debangana Roy and Soumalya Paul added to the artistic grandeur of the occasion.
