Assam Holds Candlelight Vigil in Bokakhat to Honor Pahalgam Attack Victims

In a solemn tribute to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack, residents of Bokakhat, Assam, gathered for a candlelight vigil to express their grief and solidarity. The event, held at Bokakhat Natya Mandir, saw the lighting of 101 candles, symbolizing remembrance and resilience.

Community-Led Tribute

The vigil was organized by local civic bodies, cultural organizations, and student unions, including:

  • Golaghat District Committee
  • Gorkha Students’ Union (Bokakhat Chapter)
  • All Assam Lekhika Samaroh (Women Writers’ Association)
  • All Assam Nepali Sahitya Sabha (Nepali Literary Society)
  • Bokakhat Sub-Divisional Journalists’ Association

Participants held placards condemning terrorism and called for justice for the victims. Many attendees shared emotional tributes, emphasizing the need for peace and unity in the wake of the attack.
