BCCI Rewards Team India with ₹58 Crore for ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Triumph

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a cash prize of ₹58 crore to celebrate Team India’s remarkable victory in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The announcement comes as a recognition of the team’s outstanding performance and dedication throughout the tournament.

Under the leadership of captain Rohit Sharma, India showcased dominance on the global stage, remaining unbeaten in the tournament. The team secured convincing wins against Bangladesh, Pakistan, and New Zealand in the group stage, followed by a thrilling semi-final victory over Australia. In the final, India defeated New Zealand by four wickets to clinch their third ICC Champions Trophy title.

BCCI President Roger Binny lauded the team’s achievement, stating, “Winning back-to-back ICC titles is special, and this reward recognizes Team India’s dedication and excellence on the global stage. This victory highlights the strong cricketing ecosystem in our country.”

The cash prize will be distributed among the players, coaching staff, and support staff, with each squad member receiving ₹3 crore. Head coach Gautam Gambhir will also be awarded ₹3 crore, while assistant coaches and support staff will receive ₹50 lakh each.

This victory marks India’s second ICC title in 2025, following their triumph in the ICC U19 Women’s World Cup earlier this year. The achievement underscores India’s dominance in white-ball cricket and sets a new benchmark for excellence in the sport.
