Owaisi Slams Pakistan in Bahrain Over Pahalgam Attack, Calls It a “Failed State”

AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi has strongly condemned Pakistan’s role in cross-border terrorism, stating that terrorists used religion to justify the killings in the Pahalgam attack. Speaking in Manama, Bahrain, as part of an all-party delegation led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda, Owaisi labeled Pakistan a “failed state” and urged the global community to take action against terror financing.

Owaisi’s Criticism of Pakistan’s Terror Links

Owaisi highlighted that terrorists in Pahalgam asked victims about their religion before executing them, drawing parallels between Pakistani-backed terror groups and ISIS in Syria. He emphasized that Islam categorically condemns terrorism, stating, “The Quran says that killing one innocent person is like killing all of humanity”.

India’s Response to Terrorism

Owaisi reaffirmed India’s commitment to national security, warning that any future misadventure by Pakistan would be met with an unprecedented response. He praised India’s air defense systems, stating that they have successfully intercepted and neutralized threats from across the border.

Call for International Action

Owaisi urged Bahrain and other global partners to support efforts to bring Pakistan back to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) grey list, citing concerns over terror financing. He stressed that India’s fight against terrorism transcends political differences, with unanimous support across party lines.
