PM Narendra Modi Vows ‘Harshest Response’ to Pahalgam Terror Attack

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured the nation of a decisive and harsh response to the perpetrators of the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, 2025. Addressing the 121st episode of his monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’, PM Modi expressed deep anguish over the attack and reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring justice for the victims.

In his address, the Prime Minister described the attack as a reflection of the desperation and cowardice of terrorists and their handlers, who are frustrated by the return of peace and progress in Kashmir. He highlighted the region’s recent strides in tourism, education, and infrastructure development, which he said were targeted by enemies of the nation.

“The blood of every Indian is boiling after this heinous act. The conspirators and perpetrators of this attack will face the harshest response. Justice will be delivered to the families of the victims,” PM Modi stated. He also emphasized the unity of 140 crore Indians as the nation’s greatest strength in the fight against terrorism.

The Prime Minister acknowledged the global support India has received, with world leaders condemning the attack and expressing solidarity. He urged citizens to remain resolute and united in the face of such challenges, asserting that the nation’s collective willpower is key to overcoming terrorism.

The Pahalgam attack, carried out by militants linked to The Resistance Front (TRF), has drawn widespread condemnation and led to intensified security measures in the region. The government has vowed to dismantle the terror ecosystem and bring the culprits to justice.
