Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has directed District Magistrates (DMs) and Superintendents of Police (SPs) across the state to conduct regular field visits and address public grievances promptly. The directive was issued during a review meeting held via video conference at the Secretariat on Wednesday, where the CM assessed the state’s development work, law and order, and public concerns.
Dr. Saha emphasized the importance of grassroots-level engagement, instructing officials to visit their respective districts monthly alongside officers from other departments. He urged them to identify deficiencies and take swift action to resolve issues affecting the public. The CM also stressed the need for time-bound solutions to problems related to health, drinking water, education, roads, and mosquito control, particularly in urban areas like Agartala.
In addition to development-related matters, Dr. Saha highlighted the urgency of combating drug trafficking. He directed SPs to identify drug-prone areas, compile lists of individuals involved in illegal activities, and take strict legal action against offenders. The CM reiterated his commitment to ensuring a drug-free Tripura and improving the state’s overall law and order situation.
The meeting reflects the state government’s proactive approach to addressing public grievances and fostering development. Dr. Saha’s directives aim to enhance administrative efficiency and ensure that the benefits of governance reach every corner of Tripura. With these measures in place, the state is poised to strengthen its commitment to public welfare and progress.
