The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) has announced a statewide public outreach campaign beginning June 22, 2025, aimed at highlighting the alleged failures of the BJP government at both the state and national levels. The initiative is part of a nationwide movement launched by the All India Congress Committee (AICC).
Key Focus Areas of the Campaign
- Rising unemployment and inflation
- Deteriorating law and order situation
- Crimes against women and governance issues
- Demand for caste-based census and social justice
TPCC President Asish Kumar Saha, addressing party workers at Congress Bhavan in Agartala, emphasized that the campaign will involve door-to-door outreach in all blocks, with party members distributing leaflets and engaging directly with citizens to raise awareness.
“We are reaching out to the people to expose the ground realities under BJP rule and to present the Congress party’s vision for a better Tripura,” said Saha.
Organizational Mobilization
The campaign will see participation from District and Block Presidents, along with representatives from various wings of the Congress party, ensuring grassroots-level engagement across the state.
Political Significance
With the 2026 Tripura Assembly elections on the horizon, this campaign is seen as a strategic move by the Congress to reconnect with voters and rebuild its political base in the state.
