In a significant move to strengthen its administrative and service capabilities, the Tripura government has announced a major recruitment drive, opening 333 fresh job positions across various departments. The decision was made public on February 24 by Cabinet Spokesperson and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury.
Highlighting the key aspects of the recruitment drive, the Forest Department will be filling 104 positions for Forest Guards through a special board test. The Finance Department’s treasury division will address current staffing shortages by recruiting 140 Auditors. Minister Chowdhury emphasized the urgency of this recruitment, stating, “The number of auditors at present is very low, so we have taken this decision, and recruitment will be done soon.”
Additionally, the Cooperative Department will hire 30 new positions, including Auditors, Investigators, and Statistical Investigators. The Social Welfare Department will recruit 34 ICDS Supervisors through the Service Commission.
In the health sector, the Regional Geriatric Centre of AGMC & GBP Hospital will add 20 new positions and two posts for Bio-Medical Engineers. The Tourism Department will appoint three Group-D employees and promote two employees to Upper Division Clerk positions. Furthermore, the Directorate of Biotechnology will recruit one Scientific Assistant.
This comprehensive recruitment drive spans a variety of job categories, including Group-C non-gazetted and Group-A gazetted posts, representing a significant boost to the state’s administrative cadre.
