Tripura Government Pledges to Preserve Cultural Heritage, Says CM Saha

Speaking at the inauguration of the State Level Jatra Utsav in Dharmanagar, North Tripura, CM Saha emphasized the importance of reviving traditional art forms such as Putul Khela (doll play), Jatra (folk theatre), and Natak (drama), which have been gradually fading due to modern lifestyles and technological advancements.

CM Saha expressed gratitude to the Information and Cultural Affairs Department for organizing the event and highlighted the government’s proactive measures to preserve and promote Tripura’s cultural legacy.

Aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of development, the Tripura government has also launched or laid the foundation for 45 developmental projects in the region. CM Saha underscored the significance of cultural preservation in fostering unity and pride among the state’s diverse communities.

This initiative reflects the government’s dedication to ensuring that Tripura’s vibrant traditions continue to thrive for future generations.
