Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has instructed District Magistrates (DMs) and Superintendents of Police (SPs) across the state to conduct regular field visits and address public grievances promptly. The directive was issued during a video conference held at the Secretariat, where Saha reviewed the state’s development work, law and order, and issues related to public grievances.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of grassroots-level engagement, urging district officials to visit their respective areas monthly alongside officers from other departments. He stressed the need for swift action to resolve deficiencies and improve public services. Saha also highlighted the significance of addressing critical issues such as health, drinking water, education, roads, and anti-drug measures.
As part of the initiative, Saha directed SPs to identify drug-prone areas and prepare lists of individuals involved in illegal activities within police station jurisdictions. He called for strict legal action against drug traffickers and those engaged in unlawful practices.
The Chief Minister also underscored the need for enhanced measures in Agartala city, including traffic control, mosquito management, and drinking water supply. These efforts aim to ensure a better quality of life for residents and foster development across Tripura.
This proactive approach reflects the government’s commitment to resolving public grievances and strengthening administrative accountability at the grassroots level.
