In a remarkable achievement, Trishna Sarkar, a nursing professional from Udaipur in Tripura’s Gomati district, has secured a prestigious nursing job in Japan with a monthly salary of ₹1 lakh. This milestone was made possible through the Directorate of Skill Development’s initiative, which fully funded her training, travel, and related expenses.
Trishna underwent a nine-month Japanese language training program in New Delhi, sponsored by the Directorate of Skill Development in collaboration with NSDC International. This initiative is part of the state government’s broader effort to connect Tripura’s youth with international job opportunities and enhance their employability in the global market.
The success of this program has inspired six other nursing candidates from Tripura to prepare for similar opportunities in Japan, with the state government pledging to cover their training and travel costs as well. This initiative not only aims to improve the standard of living for health professionals from the state but also strengthens ties between India and Japan in the healthcare sector.
The Directorate of Skill Development has reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating skill development and employment for Tripura’s youth, with plans to expand such initiatives in the future.
