During the recent Mumbai Tech Week 2025, Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL), shared an intimate perspective on his source of inspiration: his father, Mukesh Ambani. In a fireside chat with Harsh Jain, co-founder & CEO of Dream Sports, Akash Ambani highlighted his father’s unparalleled work ethic and dedication, revealing that Mukesh Ambani continues to clear every email until 2 AM, even as he embarks on his 45th year at Reliance.
Akash Ambani emphasized that inspiration, for him, stems from the small, consistent efforts demonstrated by his parents. While acknowledging their grand vision and boldness, he mentioned that the true inspiration lies in the everyday actions. “Till date, my father clears each and every email that is sent to him and he does it till 2 AM. He’s working for the fourth decade of his working life. And that’s where the inspiration really comes from,” said Akash.
He also shared insights into how his mother, Nita Ambani, plays a significant role in his life. Akash noted that her keen attention to details, even in their shared passion for cricket, serves as a source of inspiration.
Moreover, Akash Ambani credited his family for instilling in him the principles of work-life balance. He explained that for his family, work was never a task to be balanced with life but rather an integral part of it. “Growing up, you know, we saw our parents, both my father and mother, you know, not only try to balance family and work, but make them both the biggest priorities of our life,” Akash shared.
He concluded by underscoring the importance of having meaningful priorities in life. For Akash, his family and work remain the core priorities, guiding him through various phases of life.
