Indian Air Force Destroys Key JeM Communication Hub Hidden in PoK Health Centre

In a precision airstrike, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has successfully dismantled a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) communication hub concealed within a primary health centre in Tehra Kalan village, Sarjal, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Strategic Importance of the Target

The facility, located in Shakargarh district, Punjab, Pakistan, was a critical communication node for JeM, enabling cross-border coordination with infiltrated operatives in Jammu and Kashmir.

  • The site housed a High Frequency (HF) communication setup, essential for terrorist operations.
  • The Pakistani Army and ISI had equipped the camp with advanced military-grade communication devices, including LoRA Ultra Sets and Digital Mobile Radios (DMR).
  • These systems allowed terrorists to bypass conventional telecom networks, reducing the risk of Indian intelligence interception.

Impact of the Strike

  • The destruction of the Sarjal camp is expected to sever key communication links between JeM operatives and their handlers across the border.
  • The encrypted messaging relay system, which relied on Chinese satellites, has been neutralized, significantly disrupting JeM’s command and control capabilities.
  • The strike was part of Operation Sindoor, India’s retaliatory action against terror infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK following the April 22 Pahalgam attack.

Security Officials React

Indian security agencies hailed the operation as a major success, stating that the elimination of JeM’s communication hub will cripple infiltration efforts into Jammu and Kashmir.
